Greater Baltimore Alumnae Chapter is Launched

The snow came swirling down on Saturday, December 5, but did that keep the Chi Omegas from coming out to play? No way! The Greater Baltimore MD Alumnae Chapter hosted its kick-off party with 21 Sisters in attendance. We connected and reconnected with Sisters over delicious snacks and warm drinks provided by the alumnae chapter’s launch team.

To become a chartered alumnae chapter, we passed bylaws and installed our first team of officers. Our new president, Sarah Waring Cheplak, Lambda Gamma/U of Virginia, highlighted some of the events scheduled for the ensuing months and our new chairwomen gave updates about their groups, which include: Mom’s Group, Exercise Group, Book Club, and 40-or-Better Lunch Bunch.

Our first official chapter event came to a close with raffle prizes and the serving of traditional red-velvet cake.

The Greater Baltimore MD Alumnae Chapter is looking forward to a great year of social and service activities and to working with the Chi Omega collegiate chapters in the Washington, D.C. area. If you are living in the Greater Baltimore area and would like to join our new chapter, please send us an e-mail: baltimorechiomega@gmail.com.
