Sisters Are a Professional Network

—by Devon Seibert, Mu Alpha/U of New Hampshire

Members of our Washington, D.C.–Maryland Alumnae Chapter are young professional women. We’re close-knit, yet eagerly welcome recent graduates who join us from collegiate chapters across the country. Regardless of where we’re from, we find many similarities through our Chi Omega experiences. Over the years, we have been to each others’ weddings and celebrated the births of children. We’ve become great friends, thanks to an alumnae chapter that has provided us friendships for a lifetime.

We have created a network to help one another with career advice, job opportunities, and general encouragement. A number of Sisters have found new career opportunities through our network.

Every year, we sponsor a tea for the collegiate chapters at The George Washington and American Universities to help our soon-to-be alumnae with a career jumpstart. We hope they will join us or another chapter as alumnae and experience what a lifetime of Sisterhood is all about.
